Between work and school I sit at my desk for a good 9 to 12 hours a day. Lower back pain is nothing new so most nights I sit in a warm bath to relieve all the tension that has built up for the day, and yet my back still aches when I go to bed. When I was offered a review for Salonpas I have to admit I was a little thrilled. They sent me three different types.
The SalonPas Pain Relief contains 3% Menthol and 10% Methyl Salicylate and comes in a pack of 5. They are light and flexible and I found these to work great when my hand cramps due to breaking all of my metacarpals at work a few years ago. The patch gets pretty cold and feels relaxing. The smell is not so bad from the menthol, wish I would have thought about using one of these when I was sick and could not breathe I’m sure it would have helped.

Salonpas also makes patched for Arthritis Pain Patch that contains the same ingredients just markets them different. I could not find any difference to the pain relief patches.
My favorite one was the Salonpas Pain Relieving Gel-Patch HOT. When I first put one on I just about jumped out of my seat due to the gel being so cold. After a few minutes it started heating up and I could not feel any aches or pains and I was able to work longer without the need to keep getting up. They are air activated so if you put anything heavy on over them they will not heat up as much. They contain 1.25% methanol so the smell was a bit stronger, but pro’s outweighed the con’s for me.
