This is by far the best Jerky I have ever came across, and will continue to be my go to snack at home and in the car.

I am not one for snacking, but when I am sitting here in front of my computer sometimes I just want something to get me through until it’s time for dinner. Plus you’ve got to give immediate love and respect to a product with a name like Perky Jerky. Since cutting back on what I eat and the boyfriend making snacks that is way out of my calorie intake these days I found Perky Jerky to be a very good substitute. Jerky Perky Turkey is only 50 Calories per serving with 0 fat making this a very healthy snack. Now what I loved most about this Jerky was that it was not chewy like any other I have tried. It was juicy and tender. No fighting to chew it. It also was not spicy so even the kids enjoyed it. Turkey Perky Jerky comes with no MSG, no nitrates, and no preservatives. It relies on Guarana as its energy-inducing ingredient. Now I am not one for beef products because I do not like to eat red meat, but even the Perky Jerky Beef was great. Again the calories are low and the fat is 0. The first thing I taste from the surface of these pieces is a good deal of sweet, followed by a light saltiness, and a light tang. The chewing texture starts out with a little bit of initial chewing resistance, but easily breaks down with nominal effort. Once chewed down to a soft mass, it tends to feel little mushy, somewhat gummy, and not at all like what you’d expect turkey meat to feel like.

Today we decided we would start the product test for the many bags of freeze dried food from Mountain House.I got the kids up pretty early today to hit the store for wraps so we could start our test out right. Once I got home the first thing I did was reach for the frying pan, before grabbing our first bag of Mountain House Freeze Dried Breakfast Skillet. Good thing I read directions and was surprised to find I did not need the pan, nor a microwave. All we had to do was add 1 1/2 cups of boiling water to the bag stir and let it sit for 8-9 mins. The first thing I thought was great nothing like soggy wraps for breakfast.
When I opened the bag I was shocked to find most of the water had absorbed into the food and out came the most delicious looking breakfast mix ever. It was packed full of hash browns, scrambled eggs, sausage, peppers and onions. A little water was still in the bag but once I poured it all out in a bowl to start the wraps I noticed it was not going to dry out, nor was it going to be soggy either. I can not count the number of times I have dropped my iPod while running. Yes. I know you can buy those expensive holder, but I’m one for buying what I need and not what I want. Of course by doing reviews I find things I did not really think I needed until I’ve had a chance to try them out. It seems 9 out of 10 times I find myself switching products that are more convenient for my family. I was contacted by Nifty-Nifty a few weeks ago to try out one of their hand free accessories. After looking through their website and seeing the products they have offer and the prices I knew this was one review I could not lose out on. This particular bag can clip to anything you are wearing. It has a zipper pouch which I found great to carry my iPod in while running. Not once has it fallen out so I know I’m going to save money on replacing screens. Plus I found it convenient that I could put cash in it. This bag also has another pouch without a zipper, and found my iPod did not slip out. This bag runs $22.99 plus free shipping and is rain proof. I have taken in outside many times in the rain and nothing inside seems wet so this is another plus. Later this month we are taking the kids to a water park so this bag will come in extra handy. Nifty-Nifty carries many styles of bags, wallets, cord managers, and eyeglass holders. I’m sure you’ll find something for everyone in the family. check them out on Youtube and Facebook We were recently given a chance to try Arctic Zero Ice Cream. After reading a few bad reviews it made me want to try it even more. I mean really how can ice cream be nothing but heavenly good on a sweltering hot day. Packed the kids up and went to our local Walmart were they seemed to be the only ones who sold it. The kids decided on the Vanilla Maple, and the Chocolate Peanut Butter in the pints. Which were the only two kinds that were in stock at the time, when I know there are at least 7 different kinds which can be bought on Amazon.com For a bedtime snack the kids oped for their ice cream. I had to be a little faster than the kids on this one so I could get a taste of what turned out to be the most amazing ice cream I have ever had.
I recall when I was younger the corner store used to sell real homemade Italian Ice that was to die for on a hot day. The Arctic Zero Ice cream came close to the same taste as I remember as a kid, plus had the same texture. The Vanilla Maple was great. It was not strong but you know it was there. I never recalled ever having Chocolate Peanut Butter Italian ice, but I can only imagine it would taste like heaven. I love the fact the kids loved this ice cream. It’s very healthy having only 45 Calories, 0 grams of fat per serving, and only 6 and 7 grams of sugar. Plus I know I can eat this without feeling guilty. Arctic Zero not only taste great, but it’s also healthy. shhh the kids don’t have to know. If you want to find out more about Arctic Zero visit them on Facebook and Twitter Summer is here, fall to follow and soon after the cold winter months. Which means allergy season followed by the sick season. Noses run faster around here then the kids most of the time. Tissues are nice but no matter what kind I buy they are not soft enough. I’ve only heard of Boogie Wipes a few months ago and for the life of me could not figure out what the fuss was about, but having young children in the house I was willing to give anything a try to keep their noses from turning red. Now what kid is not going to love the smell of grape as your wiping away their runny noses? Boogie Wipes were developed by moms tired of chasing runny noses. I don’t know how many times I’ve chased my kids around when they were younger to get them to blow or to just wipe their noses. With these my son is more than happy to bring his nose to me for a Boogie Wipe. I’ve noticed his nose does not get red like it does from using tissues, not only does the Boogie Wipes clean it also moisturizes with natural saline. My daughter love the smell of the Fresh Scent wipes.
I’m so glad I gave these a try. Really I’m not sure how I lived without them all these years. I now find myself keeping some in the car for myself. Sometimes napkins are not that great but I found that Boogie Wipes make for a great hand cleaner when I am unable to wash my hands. They do not have alcohol in them so your hands stay soft and also smell great after. Boogie Wipes get a A++ from this mom.
